Hi girls, Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Face Wash was part of my last Mini Haul Post. And I get many requests for its review. After using it for more than two weeks , now I am able to write an detailed review about its performance. Lets see what I have to say about it.

 

Packaging:

I love its pink and mauve colored soft squeeze tube. Tube is sleek and simple. It looks so girly and chic. It has a transparent flip open cap which closes tightly so there is no chance of leakage or product wastage. Back side has product description and list of ingredients. I also loved how they sealed the tube which has to be broken before first use. I always appreciate these little efforts made by manufacturers to increase product life and hygiene.

Review: Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Face Wash

My Thoughts:

My skin type is oily to combination, that is why I always consider products which are water based and oil free. I bought this face wash because I wanted to try something new this time. And I am glad that I bought this. This face wash has a creamy consistency and is light pink colored. It lathers up well and instantly brightens up my face while removing all dirt and sebum from my face. it leaves my skin soft ,supple and cleansed. Its scent is very mild and fruity. Just the way I like it. Just a pea size amount is needed to wash your face. I am using it twice a day but as the weather is changing and getting dry and cold, it is started to give me stretchy feeling on my face. I think I will limit its use for hotter months and will buy something else for winters.

I will recommend this face wash to everyone who has oily to combination skin like me. I will not recommend it for dry skin type as it might leave your skin more drier.

Mini Beauty Haul !

Hi, to all my lovely readers,
Weather is still hot in my part of the world as the rest are already enjoying fall and winter arrival. In Karachi , weather is dry and humid for most of the year and winter comes for just few months. I went to Imtiaz super market last weekend and could not resist my urge to buy myself few products. Lets see what I got from there :

In case you are wondering why did I mention a baby lotion in a beauty blog? well I am using Johnson's Baby Lotion as a make up removing and mild cleanser for ages. I found baby lotion less greasy as compare to other make removers and cleansers available in market. They leave my skin baby soft as well as very efficient in removing dirt and make up from my skin. It is a part of my night time beauty ritual.

This shampoo was advised to me by my hair stylist after my hair straightening treatment. I am in love with its results already, and I guess it will be the first product that I will review from this haul post.

I will be reviewing these products after usage. I have developed an habit of using products for 2 to 3 weeks before writing any review post. My thoughts:

I have been using Pond's Pure White Beauty face wash (review) religiously in summers and love it for sure. On a recent visit to supermarket I spotted new range of Pond's face washes. It was also available in Acne-clear and  anotherone with scrub. I picked up this because I do not have serious acne breakouts rather just one or two occasional pimples. I started using it two weeks back when one pimple appeared near my chin. After first wash, my face instantly felt thoroughly cleansed, toned, brighten up and oil free. I also noticed that my complexion looks even out. It reduced the swollen around pimple area and it disappeared in a two or three days. But I also noticed that it is not much effective in clearing up acne scars but it did heal it really well. I had a few whiteheads and on regular use I noticed that they are also gone away.

The smell is almost identical to Pond's Pure White Beauty Facial Foam which is mild and kind of herbal. The face wash lathers up well and a pea size amount is enough to clean your face and neck efficiently. This is my new love from Pond's range of face washes. Here are the ingredients :

 To sum it up, I would say that its a effective face wash for oily skin, makes skin firmer, toner and brighter. It is a good product if you have few pimples and wants to get rid of them without digging any hole in your pocket.

Review : Himalaya Herbals Clarifying Fairness Face Wash

I bought it along with Himalaya Herbals Whitening face scrub (Review Here) few months back. But tried it last month when I needed something to remove summer tan from myself. Its the perfect time to review as I have almost finished it and can better let you know what is my honest opinion about this product.

What does it claims:

Himalaya’s Clarifying Fairness Facewash is a soap-free, natural formulation that brightens and rejuvenates your skin, giving it a healthy, natural glow.
Enriched with Saffron, proven for its complexion enhancing properties, this face wash gives you a fairer and clearer complexion. Pomegranate nourishes, while Mint cools and Cucumber soothes your skin, leaving it refreshed.

Directions for use:

Moisten face, apply a small quantity of Clarifying Fairness Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily.

My thoughts:
It comes in regular transparent squeeze tube with green flip open lid. I have been regularly using it for one month now .The first thing that i noticed was a mild fragrance which reminds me of a herbal mixture made with sandal powder and rose water. The fragrance is mild but refreshing. After first wash i noticed that my skin was clean and refreshed. It contains mint which cools and soothes skin. My skin instantly felt relaxed and calmed. It does it job pretty well as a regular face wash. But the Instant Glow factor was missing. The ingredients are all natural and i love natural products. I know that herbal products works slowly But i did not notice any improvement in my complexion ever after one month. It just made it appear cleansed without feeling dry or stretchy. The whitening claim is not correct. I also did not noticed any improvement in my scars or blemishes. I feel sad for that. I wish if it could lighter them a bit.
Over all, it is just an average facial wash which does cleansing part really well and makes skin refreshed but did not live up to its claim on whitening or complexion improvement.

Hi girls , i know that i have been disappeared from my blog for so long . Actually i broke my camera first , and i needed to fix it . Then , my mid term exams started and i got so much busy. I am really sorry for this and i would now continue to post regularly.
The summer is finally here and honestly i really hate this season because i have oily skin. As long as the summer reached here , i started to look for all the products which can controls my shine and keeps me matte .

My thoughts :
I bought this facial foam because i wanted to try something new and something that can help me to stay matte for several hours. FIY, my skin gets very oily around T zone area in summers and a good facial foam helps me to stay shine free .
The packaging of this facial foam is very sleek and convenient to use. The flip open cap and sqeeze tube allows only desired amount to come and avoid wastage.

The texture of this facial foam is creamy and it also has some micro beads in it. which are not at all harsh on skin , but helps in daily exfoliation , specially on T zone area. It lathers easily and turns into creamy lather. The skin feels thoroughly clean and shine free , afterwards. I also feels that it is not over-drying like pond's pure white activated carbon facial foam. So if you have got combination or normal skin , you can also use this in summers.
It has a mild and refreshing scent. I am really satisfied with this product . I also noticed that it helps improving my skin texture and complexion. I bought this for 220 Pkr. The price may varies nationwide. Here is list of ingredients , if you are concerned :

What is activated carbon ?

I was so curious to know about this ingredient so i google it and look what i read about it  :

Activated charcoal powder is an amazing substance and there are many benefits of activated charcoal. It adsorbs more poisons than any other substance known to mankind.Physicians primarily use activated charcoal powder for eight different purposes. Here they are:1 – To treat poisonous bites from snakes, spiders, and insects (38).

My thoughts : 
Pond's pure white deep cleansing facial foam comes in a sleek and super sexy black easy to squeeze tube. I paid Rs. 325 Pkr for this 100g tube . It has a plastic lid to open which is tightly closed. It is handy and you can easily put this in your travel bag too. It has the mildest scent i have ever felt in any facial wash , which is a plus point for me .  I do not like products with stronger scents. Product is pearly grey in color. I thought it would be jet black from inside too ( but thank God it is not ).The face wash is very creamy and you only have to squeeze a pea size amount on your palm. It lathers well , and does it job very impressively.
From the very first wash , my facial skin feels instantly cleaner , brighter than before . It also did not dry my skin like other face washes. It makes my skin soft , radiant and supple and oil free with out drying it.
I also washed my face after makeup , and surprisingly it also cleaned it away . Even it removed marks of my most stubborn kohl pencils too.

Jumping towards Pros and Cons :

Pros :

• Removes dirt and make up
• affordable price
• eye catching packaging
• contains vitamin B3
• gives a brighter complexion
• very mild scent , almost fragrance free

Cons:

• I did not find any cons yet.

Over all , it is a great product to use everyday .
I am thinking to buy some other products of this range too.

My recommendation :

Hey girls , yesterday i was re arranging my make up stuff , and there i got an idea of this post. I have so many things that are good and budget friendly too, why should not i share these with my readers ??? I know that many of Pakistani girls still cannot afford to buy expensive products .  i have selected some products for you  i like them most and you can buy them without any hassle. Prices are all under Rs. 100. And you can find them easily at any cosmetic store nearby. Have a look :

1. Acne care oil control face wash with neem extracts by SKIN CARE :

 I bought this facewash when i was on a trip and realized that i forgot to put any facewash in my bag . I bought it as i am familiar with its brand Skin care . I used it for few days and i think it is a great substitute for soap . So girls stop using soap to wash your face and try this economical facewash . It has neem extracts and gives a very fresh feeling after washing. Keeps you under control , but i am in doubt of its acne care part , as i did not use it that much anyhow I like this !!

 what i do not like :  there is no ingredients list on it. They should include the ingredients list.

2. Aqua Nail Color in 775 :

I have done a NOTD post with this nail color earlier , you can read that here. In short, its packaging is cute, color intensity is great, just one coat needed and it goes opaque. No chipping for three days . The color itself is best for the summers. It is my most favorite nail color this summer. I bought mine from Millenium mall, Karachi

3. Enchant Lip Gloss Balm in Cherry Flavor. 

I bought this lip balm in winter season . It sooths your lips and keeps them moisturzed with a sweet flavor of cherry. its very sheer , just gives a hint of pink color on your lips . Smells delicious but the smell does not stays longer.  I use it before applying liquid lipsticks which can cause dryness on lips. It was available in Mango , Strawberry and other flavors too.

4. Sweet touch sparkling nail color :

I love glittery sparrkling nail colors , they looks really festive on nails . Sweet touch cosmetics has a very good quality sparkling nail colors . I have reviewed one in my earlier NOTD post . You can check it out here . They are easy to apply , needs three coats to achieve the opaque look. and does not chips off for three days.
What i donot like : hard to remove just like any other glittery nail colors.

6. Marlin Nail Colors :

i applied two coats here

Marlin cosmetics is a relatively new brand in Pakistan , I have tried two of their nail colors and lipsticks . I like their nail colors . They offers great shades, from pinks to corals , and from reds to blues. Each shade has a number specified to it. The consistency is quit thin , normally i apply three coats of it . The formula is not long wearing on nails so it starts chipping after on or two days.


6. Christine Glitter Eyepencil :

Christine cosmetics offers some very good quality products to its costumers. I have its glitter pencil in green emarald color . And its super creamy , easily glides on eyes and stays put on. It has glitters in it , that is why it looks really glamorous . Available in various colors . I am in love with this pencil. It really makes my brown eyes looks interesting . I also use it sometimes on my waterline just to gives a hint of green and it also stay there .

7. Davis Glitter Eyeshadow Pencils :

These Davis glitter pencils are easily available in the market, These are jumbo size pencils which have glitters in it . They are available in vareity of colors. Use it as a eyeshadow or use it just as an eyeliner , it looks good on eyes. I do not like the amount of glitter present in these pencils . The glitter is hard to remove from the eyes even after washing with soap or any makeup remover.

8. Becute Lipsticks :

Becute cosmetics is very popular brand among Pakistani girls , It offers some great lippies .Their lippies are available for Rs. 95 at Chase departmental store, Karachi. I have few of them , they are creamy in texture, longlasting and have some gorgeous shades. What i do not like about these lipsticks is their smells . It smells like some bees wax or something like plastics .

9. Femina Lip Pencil :

Femina lip pencils are easy to apply and have some gorgeous shades to choose from. THey are creamy and longlasting too.I like them alot , Unfortunately i forgot to take its solo picture , i will upload it later, you can see it in my first pic ( in the most left corner )

Lakme Fruit Blast Citrus Rain Face Wash : Review

Hey girls today's post is all about my new find Lakme Fruit Blast Citrus Rain Face Wash. i love everything fruityyyy when it comes to skin care products . I was previously using Clean & Clear Creme Face Wash and i was pretty much satisfied with that. I bought this facewash just because i wanted to try something new this time. I paid Rs. 225 for this 50 ml  tube. 

Lakme Fruit Blast face washes comes in 7 variants, What does Lakme India claims about this product :

An excellent source of Vitamin C, mandarins protect the skin from free radical damage known to age the skin. They boost the skin’s immunity and leave it moisturized and radiant.  
Lakmé  Citrus Rain Fruit Detox Facewash energizes your skin and senses with its tangy, uplifting fragrance. Its high foaming formulation with juicy mandarin extracts purifies your skin from pollution and grime, without leaving it dry. Your skin feels velvety smooth and brilliantly clean. 

My Verdict :

Its packaging is very simple , not eye catching , nothing extravagant about it. It has a flip open plastic lid. When i first opened it , i thought it would have a strong scent of oranges but i was really disappointed. It has a very mild scent. ( may be it would be appreciable by some girls  ) but  i like fruity scents . The texture of this facewash is creamy . But it is difficult to make leather with it. It can gives you tough times . So work it up in your palms first into leather and then apply it on your face. 

It does a pretty decent job . It removes every traces of makeup , oil and dirt from face and makes it very soft and supple. Unlike other face washes , It does not make my skin feel dry . My skin feels very soft and clean after using it . I am satisfied with it.

Would i buy it again ? 

Hmm.. No  , because i am not very much impressed by its performance . Its just an OK facewash.
