Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation : Review and Swatches

Hey girls , i told you last week that i won a contest by Mascara Mafia. I got some fantastic Rimmel london cosmetics. I have tried Rimmel Lasting finish 16 hour foundation in shade Warm Honey for a week now.

Product Information :
According to Rimmel London, Lasting Finish Foundation is available in 5 shades.Website claims that :

LONG LASTING LIQUID FOUNDATION. FLAWLESS FOR UP TO 16HSTAY THE DAY Freshly applied look for 16 hours. Flawless, semi-matte coverage. Rub proof, fade proof, smudge proof.MINERAL BOOST, Breathable formula enriched with minerals, for a healthy, smooth complexion. Skin looks fresh, never dull and cakey. Lightweight, oil free texture. Comfortable all day long.

 Packaging :

I like its packaging , it comes in a sleek squeeze tube. Which is very handy and easy to carry around.

My verdict :
I have Rimmel Lasting finish liquid foundation in 301 Warm Honey shade, which is one shade darker than my medium warm complexion. But it is acceptable for me because i do not prefer whiter shades which are lighter than my skin tone. Its texture is a bit watery , i use my fingers to blend it on my face. But it dries out more faster than my other liquid foundations. So keep in mind that you must work faster with it otherwise you will get patches on your face. Try to blend it with a slightly damp sponge or foundation brush. I would recommend you to use a good moisturizer beneath it if you have dry skin.

It is light weight , and gives medium coverage, semi- matte look. No one can tell that you are wearing any foundation on your face. It gives a natural and more fresh look to me at day time. It stays fresh on my face for 7 to 8 hours. I did not try it for 16 hours indeed. As i do not like to wear makeup for such a long time.I just had to re touch it after 3 to 4 hours with a compact powder on my T-zone area as it gets very oily during summer time.
It did not break me out. It is rub proof , fade proof and smudge proof , but it can give cakey look if not blended properly.
t smells okay , i love the fact that it is mineral enriched , so that i wont clog my pores.
In my opinion it does a pretty decent for me . It am loving it.

Lakme Fruit Blast Citrus Rain Face Wash : Review

Hey girls today's post is all about my new find Lakme Fruit Blast Citrus Rain Face Wash. i love everything fruityyyy when it comes to skin care products . I was previously using Clean & Clear Creme Face Wash and i was pretty much satisfied with that. I bought this facewash just because i wanted to try something new this time. I paid Rs. 225 for this 50 ml  tube. 

Lakme Fruit Blast face washes comes in 7 variants, What does Lakme India claims about this product :

An excellent source of Vitamin C, mandarins protect the skin from free radical damage known to age the skin. They boost the skin’s immunity and leave it moisturized and radiant.  
Lakmé  Citrus Rain Fruit Detox Facewash energizes your skin and senses with its tangy, uplifting fragrance. Its high foaming formulation with juicy mandarin extracts purifies your skin from pollution and grime, without leaving it dry. Your skin feels velvety smooth and brilliantly clean. 

My Verdict :

Its packaging is very simple , not eye catching , nothing extravagant about it. It has a flip open plastic lid. When i first opened it , i thought it would have a strong scent of oranges but i was really disappointed. It has a very mild scent. ( may be it would be appreciable by some girls  ) but  i like fruity scents . The texture of this facewash is creamy . But it is difficult to make leather with it. It can gives you tough times . So work it up in your palms first into leather and then apply it on your face. 

It does a pretty decent job . It removes every traces of makeup , oil and dirt from face and makes it very soft and supple. Unlike other face washes , It does not make my skin feel dry . My skin feels very soft and clean after using it . I am satisfied with it.

Would i buy it again ? 

Hmm.. No  , because i am not very much impressed by its performance . Its just an OK facewash.

[NOTD] : Aqua Nail Color

Hey girls,


 I love to paint my nails , i love colors that are vibrant and funky. Thats why i bought this Aqua nail color in number 775. I bought this Aqua Nail color just for Rs. 75 Pkr from a cosmetic shop located at Millenium Mall , Karachi . I was surprised that this brand has some different and dare to wear colors in their nail color range. Like Citrus Orange and Mango Yellow, and Blood Red  were also available ,  i would like to try more colors in a couple of days. I like its packaging, its comes in a cute 15 ml bottle which is diamond shaped.

It is a gorgeous Blue ferozi color , which looks superb and classy on my nails. I applied just one coat of this nail color and surprisingly its consistency is just amazing . It goes opaque in just one coat without streaks or any other flaws.The applicator is also good. I did not apply any top coat but it looks super shiny on my nails :) 

I am really glad that i bought this . This nail color is very vibrant and looks great during summers. The only flaw that i noticed in this nail color is that it is not long lasting and easily chips off after two days.


I would recommend you to apply a base coat first as dark color leaves stains on the nails .

Mabrook 36 Colors Eye Shadow Palette : Review & EOTD

I was looking for a makeup palette which should contain all bright colors with shimmery finish then i came across Mabrook Eye Shadow Palette. Mabrook is an Arabic brand , i have some of their eye and lip liner pencils which are good too I bought Mabrook 32 colors eyeshadow palette for Rs. 400 pkr from a local cosmetic store located in Millenium Mall.

Its Packaging is good and slim. It comes with a square shaped kit with a wide mirror inside. and two sponge tip applicators.

It contains 36 eyeshadows , All placed separately and have good quantity of eyeshadows. They are divided in 3 rows . First row contains colors from white to black and then more neutral shade. Second Row contains three shades of orange , rust and copper and different shades of pinks and magenta. Thirds row starts with a beautiful shade of olive and a bright yellow , along with four shades of greens and four shades of blues.

All colors are very vibrant and pigmented too. Some of these eye shadows have frosted finish , some have semi matte finish and some are shimmery. but each color is blendable and very pigmented .But the only downside is its fall outs. They fall outs more often.




I used to apply them dry but they did not stay in place longer enough without any eyeshadow base. Then i used them with wet sponge tip applicator and it not only increased its blending power but also staying power. All colors applies very smoothly when applied with wet sponge tip applicators . I would recommend that do not use it with other eye shadow brushes , they will not give good results. Some times I like to apply them as color eyeliners too . Just dip your eyeliner brush first into water then any color of your choice and you have got a cool color liner which long lasting, smudge proof and easy to apply. ( All shades of blues and greens looks beautiful when applied as a liner )

.I have created one eye makeup look using this palette. I have not used any eyeshadow base.Keep in mind that I am not a professional makeup artist , I am still in a learning phase .

My first Haul Post !!

Hey girls , i went on shopping last weekend , and i really enjoyed shopping at Metro Cash n Carry as well as Chase departmental Store , Karachi . They are among my  favorite shopping destinations in Karachi . I like to Metro Cash n Carry for grocery shopping as well as personal care products.  The ambiance is very comfortable there. Chase departmental store is also on my favorite list as far as cosmetics and skin care products are concerned. Take a look  what i bought from these two shopping destinations :

I got a additional silk pouch with it as there was a promotional campaign in Metro , inside it i got free Loofah and a mini sample of lux body wash in peach and cream.

I am using these cleansing nose pore strips for three months now , and they are very effective and helped me alot from getting rid of blackheads.

Emotions harmony is also a good one . i love to try new deodorants thats why i bought it.

I bought this transparent zipper pouch to store my makeup brushes while travelling :) .

Just Gold Blusher Kit 5 in One : Review & Swatches

As i told in my earlier posts that i love to buy different brands products . I do not go just after high end brands or famous brands. Whenever i see a good product , i try to grab it as soon as possible . I have a Just Gold blusher kit , which i got as a present from my dear ones. Below you can see its packaging :

It comes with a white color rectangular box , with a wide mirror inside it and two low quality applicators ( which obviously i never used for applying blusher).

I did not try all the colors but i have tried 2 shades of this palette (second and third one from the left )and i like them alot and i am pretty much satisfied with this palette . It will attract to the girls who cannot afford to buy expensive single color blushers and use blushers occasionally , This blusher kit gives a choice of 5 different shades of blushers . They are surprisingly pigmented, easily blendable and have fine shimmer in it . You can mix two colors and create your own new color easily. Below you can see a blended swatch of these five blushers.

This palette is easily available at any local cosmetic shop for Rs. 400 Pkr ( price may vary )

In my opinion, it is a great choice if you are a beginner and want to try different blusher color or just playing with them . I will not recommend this for regular use.

I have luscious super moisturizing lipstick in Rebel.It is a pinkish orange color which looks beautiful to wear at day time. It is very moisturizing and gives a semi opaque coverage. This particular shade REBEL  Looks great in summer or with day time makeup. It looks great when pair both with pink and coral blushes.

What Luscious Cosmetics say about their super moisturizing lipsticks :

My experience :

This lipstick is really moisturizing and does not dry out your lips . It also nourishes your lipstick because of grape seed oil and vitamin E which is present in it . My lips looks fuller , moisturized . it is long lasting too I just have to re touch it after few hours and thats it. Some times i just dab my fingers on it and use it as a cream blusher . and dust over some powder blusher.  it makes a great cream blusher that gives a natural glow on your face. I would love to try more shades of this lipsticks. These are affordable too

[NOTD] : Sweet Touch Sparkling Nail Color

I love to paint my nails , i am just crazy about collecting and trying different nail colors of different brands. Today i have painted my nails  with Sweet Touch Sparkling nail color shade number 1153 . Its a lilac purple color with grey undertones and lots of glitter present in it . It gives a festive look to my nails , thats my i love this color. It is a perfect color to wear in summers or going out in a party or a wedding. It looks awsome . 

 

 How pretty it looks on my nails . I applied two coats of it . It stays on your nails for a good 3 days without chipping off, thats why i like it . But most other glitter nail colors it is also hard to remove it . I use Golden Touch nail enamel remover to remove it . I love its packaging it comes with a colored cap which represents the color of the nail enamel . 

I bought this one from Chase departmental store for Rs. 99 pkr , i would like to buy more color of this sparkling series. its affordable thats why i would suggest that you must try it if you like to wear glittery nail colors.

Mac Lipstick in Spirit : Review & Swatches

Hey girls , today i am going to review about yet another Mac lipstick that i have. Mac Lipsticks are expensive but worth every penny , When it comes to expensive brands , i would like to buy more wearable colors than fashion colors. that i could wear everyday. It also looks superb with smokey eye look.

Spirit is from their Satin lipsticks collection. I bought this one year back , and i have used it so much :) .  This particular shade is a beige brown color, more on brown side .The color pay off is amazing. It has a matte but non drying formula , so it stays fresh on the lips for long time. it goes opaque on lips in just one go and gives you a fuller beautiful pout . I like to wear this lippie at day time as it looks beautiful on me and every time i wear it i gets more compliments :) .


 Its a perfect shade of nude that has more brown with a hint of pink  in it , so it does not makes me look dull or washed off. So try it out girls. Its a must have nude lippie :) that i would love to buy again and again.
