Review : Liz Earle Energizing Body Lotion

Thursday, December 1, 2011
Hi girls , winter is already here , and we all try our best to get silky smooth skin in this weather. That is why we keep applying body butters and lotions all over again and again. It is now easy with Liz Earle energizing body lotion.Lets find out together ..
Packaging :
It comes in a big 150ml squeeze tube with flip open cap , which we all prefer. This tube is easy to handle and carry around. The amount given in this tube is more than enough to last the whole winter season. As usual , the backside is covered with product description , how to use , and ingredients.
Ingredients :
This energizing lotion is rich with the goodness of 8 essential oils .

My thoughts :
As i mentioned above, i love the packaging of this energizing lotion and the amount present in it. It has a rich and creamy texture , so only one or two drops is enough . It gets absorbed quickly into the skin and leaves a silky smooth feeling behind. It is non greasy .I guess , this product will be more suitable for mature skin as it will give a instant boost and elasticity to the skin. This lotion is works better as an after bath lotion in this dry winter season. It is suitable for all types of skin , but i feel that it will work better with dry and mature skin.
I have a mixed feeling about its scent. I find it too strong for my liking , but my mom loves it. She says that the scent is pleasant. It makes me think that it depends on your personal preferences that you like it or not . I find it too strong for myself. Here you can see its texture and how it feels on my skin :
can you see how smooth and silky my skin becomes :

Overall , it is a good product to boost your energy , whenever you are feeling low and tired.

You might  like this if :

  • it is rich with the goodness of 8 essential oils
  • you need a natural product
  • you have dry , mature skin
  • you want a lotion that lasts all day
  • you do not want to re apply throughout the day
  • you like strong scents
  • you want an energizing lotion
You might not like this if ..

  • Scent is too strong for your liking
  • you can find a cheaper alternative for this
  • availability of this product is an issue for yourself.

Review : Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask

Saturday, November 5, 2011
Hi girls , we all love fridays . Don't we ? because after a long tiring week we finally get a chance to rest and treat ourselves like a princess. Mostly , i prefer to concentrate on my skin care routine on weekends and try not to wear make up at all at weekends. Because it is not possible for me to take in depth care of my skin during working days.

Liz Earle finally listened to my mind and gave a solution to the problem of most working ladies out there. Yes, Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask is a two minute solution for your dull looking skin whenever you need to revive yourself during week days and you do not have sufficient time to pamper yourself. If you are late from your work place and have to go to a party with friends or a wedding ceremony at night and you do not have time or energy to give your self a proper cleansing , toning , moisturizing . Then this product is a must have for you. Just apply it to cleansed skin for 30 to 2 minutes and then wipe it with moistened muslin cloth provided with.

Why you should use this ?

Problem: dull, lacklustre skin.

Solution: our fast-acting ‘minute’ mask instantly revitalises. Containing stimulating camphor oil and toning witch hazel to help give your skin a natural-looking radiance.

Use in the morning or whenever a quick fix is needed.

Naturally active ingredients include aloe vera to help cool and soothe, toning witch hazel and purifying white clay.

Use whenever your skin needs a quick fix to leave it radiant and revitalised.

Apply to clean, dry skin. Leave for between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. Soak the pure muslin cloth in hand-hot water and gently wipe away residue.

Follow with Instant Boost Skin Tonic.

You will experience a slight tingling sensation. This is normal. However, as a common sense precaution, do not use on sensitive skin and avoid the lip and eye area.

My thoughts :

It comes in a travel bag with a muslin cloth to work with. The size of the 50ml pump bottle is appropriate to carry around . I am using this product for last two weeks whenever i feel that my skin is tired. I am totally in love with its fragrance . Its really wakes me up whenever i am feeling low and dull. It gives a tingling effect when applied .The product itself is creamy and does not make my skin dry at all. The whole process of applying and wiping takes not more than three minutes that is why you can use it whenever you feel like . It really brightens the complexion and gives a quick remedy to the dull , lack lustre skin. I feel that i will be using this product more in coming winter season , when it kills to use water for other skin care regime. This product will be highly beneficial as you just have to wipe it with muslin cloth soaked in warm water. Here is product applied on the back of my hand :

Review : Liz Earle Instant boost skin tonic Spritzer

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Hey my sugar plums ,

After using  Liz Earle Hot cloth Cleanse & Polish ( read review here ) before , i really wanted to try few more of products of Liz Earle , their correspondent is a lovely women and she sent me another  product for me to try and do a review. Actually Liz earle instant boost skin tonic is the second step after cleansing your face with their hot cloth cleanser. She asked me to choose between spritzer and bottle and i instantly decided to choose spritzer for me , just because spritzer are more convenient to use than regular bottles. So want to know that how did i find product ?? Scroll down please ....

Product Information :

According to their website :

This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture.
Pour onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck after using Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Alternatively spritz over face and body to revitalise at any time.
Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.
             Suitable for all skin types

 How to Use :
Instant Boost Skin Tonic is the essential second stage of your daily regime:
Moisten a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck every morning and night after cleansing with Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser or using one of our special treatment masks. Whether your skin is dehydrated, oily, dull or congested, the nourishing and brightening botanicals will help to leave your skin feeling soft and looking fresh for longer. It also primes your skin perfectly for your choice of Liz Earle Moisturiser.
Alternatively spritz over face and body to revitalise at any time. The fine mist can even be used over make-up.
list of ingredients

My thoughts :

The packaging of this product is exactly same like hot & cloth cleanser. I am glad that i selected spritzer for myself , because i am too lazy to use cotton wipes and then throw them ( sorry ladies , but i am !! ) So the spritzer is the best option for me . So i can also carry it around while travelling and use it without any hassle.
spritzer flows skin tonic evenly

I am using this product daily every morning and night for a week now. After cleansing with hot & cloth cleanser , i splash my face with cold water then then spritz this tonic on my face and let it dry on its own. Just two to three pumps are enough. It closes my pores after cleansing and leaves my skin more soft and supple. In the morning , i feel lazy that is why i skip the cleansing step and just wash my face with facial  foam and then spritz this tonic on my face. It provides me a good start for my day time makeup.
I also use it as a makeup setting spray after using my mineral loose powders . and i noticed that it helps face powders and loose mineral powders to stay put on a bit longer. My skin feels healthy looking .
It does not feels sticky on skin and gets absorbed into skin after few minutes. It has a mild floral smell , which is very refreshing and is another plus point for me. More important this is that it is suitable for all skin types and made specially for sensitive skins. Jumping towards pros and cons:

Pros :

  • it smells good
  • non sticky formula
  • made with natural ingredients
  • makes skin soft and supple
  • spritzer bottle
  • Alcohol free
Cons:

  • Expensive( 200ml available for £12.00 )

Price & Availability:
    My recommendation :

Yes , I will surely recommend this , If you are really looking for a product made with natural ingredients and if its price tag do not bother you !!.

Liz Earle Intant boost skin tonic is available for £12.00 on Liz Earle's Website. They ships world wide.

    Ingredients :

The ingredients in this product are:
Aqua (water), Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Cetearyl alcohol, Cetyl esters, Sorbitan stearate, Polysorbate 60, Glycerin, Cera alba (beeswax), Propylene glycol, Humulus lupulus (hops) extract, Panthenol, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Anthemis nobilis (chamomile) extract, Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) oil, Limonene, Citric acid, Sodium hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dehydroacetic acid, Polyaminopropyl biguanide.

    My Experience :

I am using this cleanser for more than one week now . It is recommended to use it twice a day , but i used it at night before going to sleep. At first , i thought that the two step cleansing procedure would be so time consuming to follow daily , but when i used it for the first time , i surprised to see that it did not take more than  10 minutes. I massaged my dry face & neck with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser for 5 minutes. Once it was completely absorbed by my skin . I soak on of the muslin cloth in Hot water and after squeezing it , i used it to wipe my face . It not only cleanses dirt , sebum and impurities from my face , but also it removed every traces of makeup from my face . Even most stubborn mascara and my Maybelline lasting drama gel liner was removed .
After using it regularly , my skin feels not only cleansed but soft and supple too. It contains  Eucalyptus oil , which is proven to prevent breakouts and cocoa butter does not let my skin feels dry. My skin is oily but i did not feel any greasiness or breakouts after using this product.
Here is a little test i did on my hand to show you how easily it removes every traces of Maybelline Lasting drama gel liner :

It is recommended to sanitize your muslin cloths after each use. I wash it in soap water and then soak it in disinfectant solution and let it dry in natural air.
