Review: St.Ives Make Up Remover & Facial Cleanser




On a recent trip to local market, i brought it home with other stuff. I have been st.ives facial scrub since forever now and decided to give this a try as i was running short of my other cleanser. But let me confess , it did not win my heart. Let me tell you why ..

My thoughts:
The moment i open it i knew that i am not going to like it. The fragrance is kind of medicinal. The texture is so greasy and sticky. I tried to massage it on my moist face but it got worse. It did not remove any single traces of makeup. Keeping it in mind that i was not wearing waterproof make up that day. Just a bit of bb cream, kohl and lipstick. It smears kohl everywhere and sticks on my face like i have applied glue or something like that. It was very difficult to remove makeup then.
I don't know why they name it as a make up remover when it is not capable of doing so. It is not worth buying at all, not even as an everyday cleanser. It is so greasy and creamy that i am afraid that it might break me out. I stopped using it after two failed attempts. I lost hope.
In my opinion, this product is not meant for oily or combination skin, may be somebody with very dry skin may find it suitable. But for me its a big no no.

In spot light today we have Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish hot cloth cleanser.I was sent to try 100 ml pump starter kit of Liz Earle Hot cloth Cleanse & Polish Hot cloth Cleanser two weeks ago. I have tested and tried it on myself for more than one week regularly and i think now i am eligible to share my thoughts about it !!

First of all , i would like to say a few words about the brand and the people behind this brand.

How to use : 


Cleanse daily morning and night using this two-step process:

My Experience :


I am using this cleanser for more than one week now . It is recommended to use it twice a day , but i used it at night before going to sleep. At first , i thought that the two step cleansing procedure would be so time consuming to follow daily , but when i used it for the first time , i surprised to see that it did not take more than  10 minutes. I massaged my dry face & neck with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser for 5 minutes. Once it was completely absorbed by my skin . I soak on of the muslin cloth in Hot water and after squeezing it , i used it to wipe my face . It not only cleanses dirt , sebum and impurities from my face , but also it removed every traces of makeup from my face . Even most stubborn mascara and my Maybelline lasting drama gel liner was removed .
After using it regularly , my skin feels not only cleansed but soft and supple too. It contains  Eucalyptus oil , which is proven to prevent breakouts and cocoa butter does not let my skin feels dry. My skin is oily but i did not feel any greasiness or breakouts after using this product. 
Here is a little test i did on my hand to show you how easily it removes every traces of Maybelline Lasting drama gel liner :

It is recommended to sanitize your muslin cloths after each use. I wash it in soap water and then soak it in disinfectant solution and let it dry in natural air.

Review : Freeman Refining Facial Cleanser

Hey gals , 
Its Summer time and its time for feeling more fruity and juicy :)
I am using a new cleanser these days , its Freeman Facial Cleanser with Pears extracts and salicylic acid .

Its Fruity appearance made me buy this product. And i am glad that i bought this.  I love trying new products , and Freeman is a brand name which always offers amazing yet affordable products. It comes in a  squeeze tube of 150 ml. 

I use it as a general cleanser in the morning . I am in love with its fruity fragrance , apples mixed with pears mmmm... sounds yummy isnt it ?. As a cleanser, it does a decent job . I massage it on my face for 2 to 3 minutes then rinse off with luke warm water ( as suggested on the tube ). it makes my skin soft , supple and radiant :) and Yes oil-free .It has salicylic acid in it so it also helps me prevent breakouts. its fruity fragrance wakes me up :). I am pretty satisfied with its performance. I also tried it for removing  makeup after coming back from a wedding at night and it removed every traces of makeup without any hassle . Whats more do you want girls ???

My verdict :


It comes with a price tag of Rs. 275 , i bought this from Chase departmental store.I would say it is a nice and affordable product for girls who already have clear skin and just need an affordable and decent cleanser. I would not suggest it to the girls who have blemishes or acne prone skin, as it would not help you in that aspect.


My recommendation :


I would buy it again as a daily routine cleanser.

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cleanser Review

Hey Girls , Most of us have oily skin and have Acne or breakouts problem. Summer is just ahead and i thought that i should share my thoughts about my favorite cleanser . Its Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cleanser. I just love it :)


As you all know that Neutrogena is one of the leading brand in skin care . They always produce some very good products for acne prone oily skin. 

Who should use this ?


Neutrogena pink grapefruit Oil free facial cleanser is just perfect for the girls who has acne prone combination to oily skin and they wants shine free look during hot days of summer . 

MY Views :


 I really like its packaging as it comes with a pump , so no chance of wasting.The texture of this cleanser is like a clear transparent gel with just a hint of pinkish color in it.You can see it here:

This cleanser really helps me to give that shine free look every time i wash my face with it. My skin feels instantly cleansed and refreshed . It prevents breakouts as it has Salicylic acid as an active ingredient in it . 
 It has a fruity scent , but i do not like its scent . ( may be most of the girls will disagree with me ) but 
i really do not like its smell. its too much for me. 
It comes with a price tag of 500-525 pkr. and available at almost all leading stores both nationwide and internationally .


Pros:


Affordable price 
Oil Free formula
clears blemishes
prevents and clear acne
gives shine free look


Cons:


it can cause dryness if used during dry and cold weather, but using a moisturizer after it would help.


i do not like its scent .
Over all this is a very good cleanser to be used if you have acne prone combination to oily skin.
