Review: Freeman Anti Stress Mask Dead Sea Minerals

Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Hi girls, Today my post is all about Freeman Facial Anti Stress Mask. Lets see what i have to say about this product.

Review: Freeman Anti Stress Mask Dead Sea Minerals
What does it claims :

Unwind from the grind by treating skin to a much needed respite with this nutrient rich mask. Dead Sea Minerals and Sea Salts replenish and balance moisture while purging clogged pores. Lavender and Bergamot help achieve an aroma-therapeutic bliss to rinse away stress for smooth and radiant skin. Perfect for all skin types.
Directions: Apply mask to face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes. Let dry and rinse with warm water. Use two times a week or as often as needed.
Review: Freeman Anti Stress Mask Dead Sea Minerals
Packaging:
Freeman products normally comes in a long squeeze tubes and so does this product. The squeeze tube is teal in color which matches the product colors. List of ingredients, product description is mentioned on the backside. It has a twist cap which flip opens and closes tightly. One thing that bothers me is that the tube deforms or somehow loses its shape as long as you start using it. Freeman should work on this factor.

My thoughts:

I badly needed  a facial mask , so on my last visit to Chase departmental store, i picked it up. I love freeman products as they always gives good results when it comes to skin care. I have tried their cleanser and pineapple enzyme mask before. I am a stay at home mom who have to do a lot of household chores as well as running after a toddler who occupies my most of the time. So i did not get much time to spent on my skin care routine or going out and taking salon treatments. that is why i wanted something that i could do at home and pamper my skin.
Coming back to product review, This mask is thick and spreads evenly on skin. It is teal in color and i looks so funny whenever i apply this on my face and neck. My son starts laughing too. Well, on the other hand. It is the most calming and soothing mask i have used so far. Fragrance is very mild and calming. It gives a sudden splash of freshness and cooling sensation to my skin. I usually leave it for 20 minutes or until it dries completely. Rinsing is not an issue, as it comes off easily with few splashes of water. After removal, my skin feels smooth, soft and relaxed. I noticed that it also improved my skin texture, and pores are shrinking. This is a rave product girls and I am loving it.

This worked out for me like a charm and i am using it twice a week as a part of my beauty ritual. If you are looking for something affordable, easily available and soothing mask , this mask is for you !! go grab it.

Review: Saeed Ghani Herbal Whitening Soap With Sandalwood

Wednesday, August 27, 2014
Hi girls,
Few days back I posted about Saeed Ghani sandal wood soap on facebook and many girls requested me to review it soon. Saeed Ghani is a popular brand which sells ubtans, mehndi, attars and other herbal products in Pakistan. Their products are also available internationally.
I bought this soap a while ago, when I was doing my grocery shopping from Bin Hashim Super Stores. Its time to reveal my thoughts about this soap.

Saeed Ghani  Herbal Whitening Soap With Sandalwood
What it claims :

Herbal Skin + is an advance whitening product, specially developed at Saeed Ghani's Herbal laboratory; were created after years of pioneering research by combining the century old recipes with science and technology. Our skin whitening secret is a unique formulation with combination of natural ingredients extracts. That works by elevating skin clarity & brightness. The nutrients and exfoliates contained in the Herbal Skin + lightening formulas promote the generation of new skin cells and are highly essential in providing an even skin tone. The result is a silky white complexion that glows from within.

Saeed Ghani's  Herbal Whitening Soap : Review

My Thoughts:
First thing that I noticed when I opened it was its strong scent. I like it but my husband hates it. He asked me not to keep it inside bathroom as he gets sneezes as soon as he enters washroom . So be careful if you are allergic to strong smells or fragrances. It smells like sandal but its very strong. It is recommended to apply it on your face and body and leave for 30 seconds before rinsing it off. It lathers up really well. When I washed my face first time, I noticed an instant glow on my face. It removes all the sebum , dirt and dullness from my face in just one wash. I have combination skin so I noticed that my T zone area feels cleansed and oil free but my cheeks parts feels a little bit dry. I guess if you have dry skin , then stay away from this soap as it may irritates your skin. After using it for several days now there is visible improvement in my complexion. It does not make it whiter but improves complexion by removing tan.
I am using it as a body wash too, and my body feels cleansed and fragranced for many hours. The fragrance fades away gradually.
Over all, I am liking this product. But I guess it is best suitable for oily skin type and to be used in summers. Otherwise you will get drier skin.
The full list of ingredients is not mentioned on the product packaging. I wish if they provide ingredients as I am very conscious about what I am going to apply on myself.

You may like this if,
  • You have oily or combination skin
  • you are into herbal products
  • the fragrance does not bothers you
  • It is easily available and affordable
  • You want to improve your complexion
You may not like this if,
  • You have dry skin.
  • It makes your skin drier
  • you are allergic to strong smells
  • you are not fond of herbal products
  • whitening claim is not true
My ratings:
4 out of 5

Price:
I bought it for  Rs.120 From Bin Hashim Super Market, Karachi.

Review: St.Ives Make Up Remover & Facial Cleanser

Saturday, July 19, 2014

On a recent trip to local market, i brought it home with other stuff. I have been st.ives facial scrub since forever now and decided to give this a try as i was running short of my other cleanser. But let me confess , it did not win my heart. Let me tell you why ..

What does it claims ?

Review: St.Ives Make Up Remover & Facial Cleanser

My thoughts:
The moment i open it i knew that i am not going to like it. The fragrance is kind of medicinal. The texture is so greasy and sticky. I tried to massage it on my moist face but it got worse. It did not remove any single traces of makeup. Keeping it in mind that i was not wearing waterproof make up that day. Just a bit of bb cream, kohl and lipstick. It smears kohl everywhere and sticks on my face like i have applied glue or something like that. It was very difficult to remove makeup then.
I don't know why they name it as a make up remover when it is not capable of doing so. It is not worth buying at all, not even as an everyday cleanser. It is so greasy and creamy that i am afraid that it might break me out. I stopped using it after two failed attempts. I lost hope.
In my opinion, this product is not meant for oily or combination skin, may be somebody with very dry skin may find it suitable. But for me its a big no no.

My ratings:
1 out of 5

Price:
350 Rs. bought from Chase Up store.

Have you ever bought this product ? share your experiences with me in comments below , thanks

Review: ORGLOW Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask

Sunday, June 15, 2014
Today i am going to review the much talked about product of the local blogosphere ... yes you guessed it right .. Its Orglow Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask. Lets see what is my opinion about this product.

ORGLOW Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask

Packaging:

Packaging is nothing fancy but very basic and simple. It comes in a cheap plastic jar which has a twist open cap and a inner seal to protect product from the effects of environment. The jar is huge in size and not so travel friendly. I wish if they could put a little more effort into their packaging and labels. What i felt missing is a ingredients list. I wish if they could include ingredients list to satisfy curious customers .. like me :(. They have mentioned expiry date so you have to use it within six months after opening.

ORGLOW Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask

My Thoughts:
I was sent this product two weeks back for my consideration. Like other products i used it on alternate days for two weeks and now i am able to share my findings with my readers. My skin was dull and got a summer tan before i started using it.
Its a herbal grounded mixture which has to be mixed with yogurt and rose water (as i have oily skin). The scent of this product when mixed with yogurt is a put off for me. The granules or beads in it can be a little harsh for your facial skin so be gentle when rubbing it off. I applied it on my whole face and neck and left for twenty minutes and then rinse. I felt instant glow in my complexion which i honestly speaking did not expected as it is a herbal product without fancy packaging. My skin felt smoother, baby soft and supple. It removes all the dead skin and white heads efficiently. The next day i got compliments from my fellows if i had some skin treatment. After using it for two weeks i feel that my summer tan is gone, skin is healthier and toned. Only few stubborn blackheads are left behind. The whitening claim is not true but it helps in removing tan and making complexion better.
The only put off for me is its scent, otherwise its a decent products which does what it claims.

You may like this product if:

  • you wants instant results.
  • you are happy with the results.
  • You like organic products
  • The smell does not bothers you
  • looking for a solution for your dull skin
  • Its a Pakistani product and you feel proud using it.
You may not like this if:

  • you are into fancy floral smelling products
  • ingredients list is not there
  • packaging is very basic
  • price tag bothers you
My Rating:
4 out of 5

Review : L'Oreal Paris Hydra Total 5 Normal Gel Cream

Monday, March 17, 2014

Hi girls, moisturizing is a key for healthy skin. A good moisturizer can make your skin beautiful and glowing. But it can be difficult to select a moisturizer for combination or oily skin as it may break out or makes skin greasy.
Most of the time girls with oily skin skips moisturizer believing that they do not need it. but this is not true. Moisturizer for oily skin is essential. I have got oily skin and it gets more prone to breakout during summer season. Its really difficult to choose a moisturizer which not only keeps skin hydrated and controls shine. Today i have L'Oreal hydra total 5 normal gel cream in spotlight. lets see what i have to say about it.

Product Description :
Packaging:
It comes in a glass jar which looks elegant and holds a decent amount of product. But on the darker side, it is not so travel friendly. I prefer squeeze tubes while travelling. The product is secure with a extra lid cover inside jar cap.

My experience:
I am using this gel cream religiously for one month and I am happy that I found my new love. The texture is gel like, water based and light weight. It penetrates in skin instantly and does not leave any residue. The fragrance is very fresh and energetic. It reminds me of a smoothie made up of cucumbers and lemons. Fragrance lasts for a decent amount of time. It also contains UV filters which makes it an ideal day cream in summers. But I prefer to apply sunscreen separately. My skin looks more lively, toned and hydrated after each use. I love the fact that it makes my skin glowing after regular use. I can see that it hydrates the dry patches on my face and makes skin smoother and toned. It comes with a price tag of 700 rs. Which does not dig a hole in pocket. I must say, i will be using it through out summer season.

Over all , I am very pleased with this product. It does what it claims.

Price and Availability:
Available nationwide for Rs. 699

Recommendation:
Yes, if you have combination to oily skin ,its a product worth trying I am sure that you would not regret.

I am planning to try few other products from L'Oreal hydra total 5 range, any recommendations ?
which moisturizer are you using currently , please give me feedback. I love reading your comments.

Review : Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Scrub

Saturday, March 15, 2014
Hi to all,
I have been a dedicated fan of St. Ives apricot scrub for years. This time, i decided to try something new so i picked up this one. I have been using this scrub for past one month. Lets see did it make me happy or not.

What it claims :
A complexion enhancing scrub with mild exfoliants that brings out your natural fairness and reveals glowing skin. Licorice and White Dammer help regulate melanin synthesis while Apricot granules gently scrub away dead skin cells, blackheads and deeply embedded impurities. The result is visibly brighter, soft and glowing skin.

Key Ingredients:

Licorice, White Dammer, Apricot.

 My Experience:
It comes in a squeeze tube which makes it very easy to use and travel friendly. It has a strong floral fragrance which does not bothers me. I kind of like this scent which reminds me of a garden with thousands flowers. The consistency is thick and creamy. It gives a soft smoother feel to skin after each use. It consists apricot granules which are mild and gentle but exfoliates pretty well.I am using it twice a week for one month and it removes blackheads completely from my nose and chin. It also makes my skin texture better. If you have normal to dry skin then this product will work for you. As far as the whitening claim is concerned, it does nothing for it. Personally, i never believe on whitening claims of beauty products. But sadly, it did not brightens up my complexion like many whitening products do.

Over all , its an average product which exfoliates well  ,makes skin soft and supple, but does nothing for skin complexion.

My ratings :
3 out of 5

Price And Availability:
Bought for Rs. 545 from Bin Hashim Pharmacy, Karachi

Repurchase ?

I would rather buy my old favourite St. Ives apricot scrub, my skin loves it.

Have you used this product ? which one is your favourite scrub ? please share your opinion in comments below.

Review: Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool

Tuesday, January 17, 2012
Hi girls , sorry for being disappeared from my blog , i have been very busy with my studies for last one month . Inshallah , i will be relaxed within two weeks and then will be back to normal posts :) .
Today i am going to share my thought and views about Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool , which i got as i am affiliated with Sigma beauty network. I was really keen to try this , as i never used any thing like this before on myself, but there is always a first time , right girls ? Lets see what i have to tell you about this product.

Packaging :
First of all , i am really impressed by its packaging , it comes in a cute rectangular box with pink and white stripes . it looks really feminine

On the other side , they have mentioned all the necessary information about this product :
Product details :

.
Product Description :
Say goodbye to dull and uneven skin! With the new Sigma Beauty Cleansing and Polishing Tool you can polish your skin to be perfectly smooth and flawless before and after your makeup application.

My Thoughts :
It comes in a handy plastic box in pink and white , which looks absolutely girly . The casing is easy to carry around and store , as it is compact and light weight.
I just said WOW , when i touched the bristles of these brushes, the pink one is really soft . I love the idea how they added white rings to distinguish them from other brushes heads. The brush with one white ring is for body , and the brush with two rings is for feet and body parts like elbows, knees etc.
I have been using this soft brush head on my face for more than one week, and i am really delighted to see that it makes my skin softer , polished and smoother. I make the brush head wet before applying cleanser to it. It helps my cleanser to lather easily. I can really feel the difference. It also removed my black heads from my nose. I think it is a great product for lazy people like me , who cannot spend too much time daily for skin care. It hardly takes one minute to complete the whole process , and you are left with baby soft skin. Isnt it great ??
The other two brushes are pretty good to use on the body parts . It exfoliates dead skin and leaves a softer skin behind. Just apply a generous amount of moisturizer afterwards !!
Over all , it is a great product , at first i was a bit nervous to try this on my face , but the pink SOFT head is not at all harsh. You just have to watch out for the time , and do not exceed it by one minute. Moderation is the key !!
Also do not forget to remove the brush head after each usage and wash it directly under tap water .

Over all , it is a great product , if you want an efficient tool to make your cleansing and polishing process easy.

Price & Availability :
You can buy Sigma cleansing & polishing tool from HERE for 35$.

Review : Liz Earle Energizing Body Lotion

Thursday, December 1, 2011
Hi girls , winter is already here , and we all try our best to get silky smooth skin in this weather. That is why we keep applying body butters and lotions all over again and again. It is now easy with Liz Earle energizing body lotion.Lets find out together ..
Packaging :
It comes in a big 150ml squeeze tube with flip open cap , which we all prefer. This tube is easy to handle and carry around. The amount given in this tube is more than enough to last the whole winter season. As usual , the backside is covered with product description , how to use , and ingredients.
Ingredients :
This energizing lotion is rich with the goodness of 8 essential oils .

My thoughts :
As i mentioned above, i love the packaging of this energizing lotion and the amount present in it. It has a rich and creamy texture , so only one or two drops is enough . It gets absorbed quickly into the skin and leaves a silky smooth feeling behind. It is non greasy .I guess , this product will be more suitable for mature skin as it will give a instant boost and elasticity to the skin. This lotion is works better as an after bath lotion in this dry winter season. It is suitable for all types of skin , but i feel that it will work better with dry and mature skin.
I have a mixed feeling about its scent. I find it too strong for my liking , but my mom loves it. She says that the scent is pleasant. It makes me think that it depends on your personal preferences that you like it or not . I find it too strong for myself. Here you can see its texture and how it feels on my skin :
can you see how smooth and silky my skin becomes :

Overall , it is a good product to boost your energy , whenever you are feeling low and tired.

You might  like this if :

  • it is rich with the goodness of 8 essential oils
  • you need a natural product
  • you have dry , mature skin
  • you want a lotion that lasts all day
  • you do not want to re apply throughout the day
  • you like strong scents
  • you want an energizing lotion
You might not like this if ..

  • Scent is too strong for your liking
  • you can find a cheaper alternative for this
  • availability of this product is an issue for yourself.

Price & Availability :
You can buy it at liz earle website HERE for £17.00

What do you think of this review and Liz Earle brand ? please keep posting your comments as i love to know your thoughts .. After all your opinion matters !!!
