Review & Swatches: Micronized Silky Blush in Rockies By Vasanti Cosmetics

Hi to all,
Today i am going to review Rockies blush by Vasanti Cosmetics . Lets see what do i think of this product :

Packaging :

What i love most about this blusher that it is neatly packaged in a silver steel box , which is really compact and relatively smaller in size as compare to other blushers . Which makes it easy to carry around and throw in your travel bags.

The size of this blusher is not more than 2 inches . Its silver steel packaging makes it look more elegant and stylish.

It contains a small mirror inside it , brush is not included , I guess it is a plus point because most of the brushes which are included in blushers are useless and i just throw them away straighly. You need to carry a blusher brush of your own whenever you are travelling.

My thoughts :

As i told you earlier that i am a great fan of Vasanti cosmetics packaging. The color of this blusher is a true coral shade with a gold sheen added to it. It looks beautiful on my warm beige complexion when applied with light hand . The color is buildable according to your taste and needs. It blends flawlessly and gives no streaks look.

On their website it looks more peachy color than pink , but in real it is more a coral shade with pink hues.

monavé Mineral Cosmetics : Review & Swatches

Hey girls ,

Happy Independence Day to all my Pakistani fans and followers. I wanted to do a Independence day NOTD post but could not because my system got infected by a malware. I just hope that it will be fine in a couple of days .. ( please pray for it )
Few days back i received few samples from Monave Mineral Cosmetics to review on my blog. They asked me to select few shades from their range of cosmetics and then they send samples in sifter jars .let me introduce Monavé mineral cosmetics to you :

My thoughts :

I was  asked to select two shades of  loose mineral foundations. I selected Shade Sandra and tan girl . Sandra is the closest match for my complexion , however tan girl is a bit darker and has yellow undertones. The Loose mineral foundations are very fine texture and has matte finish and they blends easily, it gives natural coverage. I applied this using my F80 flat top kabuki brush. and it is easy to apply too. You can also mix it with your favorite moisturizer or toner to achieve more natural look. Lasting power is adequate , i needed to re apply it after 4 hours.
I got few compliments from my fellows when i applied this for the first time . My friends asked me that what i have applied to my face . Nobody could guess that i am wearing any foundation.

Setting Powder:

Monave setting powders are a silky blend of the lightest minerals with just a touch of clay. Applied after foundation, the powders will aid in oil absorption, as well as add a smooth, matte, "finished" touch to your look. These powders can also be used as "face powders" for women who need very light coverage, used in place of foundation.

My thoughts :

I selected shade Tawny for myself. It is a perfect match for me . it gives a no shine look when applied after foundation. It also sets your makeup , i used it with my kryolan tv stick and got the perfect results , i am very impressed with its performance. It absorbs extra oil from your face. It looks natural and does not leaves a whitish cast on your face . Most important thing is , it is made my mineral ingredients. Here is a swatch of this on my hand :

Monave Mineral Blush & Eye shadows :


I selected Monave blush in shade star lilly , it has semi - matte finish with micro sparkles in it . It is a warm pink shade with lilac under tones and looks great on my warm complexion. The micro sparkles looks great when applied and gives a soft look both in day or night time . It blends easily , and needs a light hand to apply. It stays put on for atleast 5 hours in my case without fading.
I also selected two Monave mineral versatile powders in Turquoise  and Light Gold. Turquoise is a beautiful true turquoise shade with subtle gold shimmer . The color can be build up according to your need. But staying power is adequate. It starts fading after few hours when applied without any eyeshadow base. Light Gold is my favorite shade it is a neutral shade of Gold , which does not look too yellow or orange , it also has micro specks in it which looks beautiful . This particular shade does not last longer on my eyes.
I also received Monave Semi- matte eyeshadow in Tierra Medium. It is a great shade for day time makeup and staying power is good too . I also used it for contouring my nose and it did well in that way too/ Here is a swatch of all these on my hands :

Review : Rimmel Soft Color Blush in Pink Sugar

Hey girls, Hope you all are doing good . I am doing a review on my Rimmel london's Soft color blush in Pink Sugar .. I also have it in Coral shade but that looks not so good on my complexion ..more on orange side.
The rimmel soft color blush in Pink sugar is perfect for summers . It is a decent quality everyday blush.

Packaging :

Rimmel Soft color blushers come in plastic packaging , the packaging feels very cheap and inexpensive. but on the otherside it is very handy to put in your purse or clutches .It has a plastic transparent lid, which gets scratches very easily. A small brush is also included but that is of no use. It has rimmel logo embossed on the blusher which looks very classy .. i love this.

On the back side the shade number and amount of product is mentioned. take a look :

My thoughts :

Rimmel blushes are the most affordable and good quality blushes i have ever seen . They are good to use at day time .. As it does not contain too much shimmer or glitter . The color is easily blendable and long lasting too . You can apply it with a light hand to get naturally flushed cheeks and layer it up , wear it as you like.

I prefer to wear it at day time , its a perfect color to wear at day time and gives you a natural glow. Pink sugar is a muted pink color which looks very natural on the cheeks. It has very micro shimmers which gives a radiance to your cheeks.

Jumping towards pros and cons :

Pros :

• Brush included is of no use
• plastic lid looks cheap

Price & Availability :

I bought this Blush for Rs. 460 from Imtiaz departmental store located at Nazimabad, Karachi. But it is easily available at rimmel counters at Agha's , Naheed super mart, Ebco and other cosmetics stores.

Recommendation :

Yes , If you are looking for a natural looking blush than this is for you !!

My latest purchases !

Hey my sugar plums , happy friday to all of you , if you are connected to me on my Facebook page , you have read about my recent visit to Imtiaz Super store (nazimabad near AO clinic ) . I went there with my cousin sisters for the first time  and i was delighted to see their cosmetics section. They have Counters of different Cosmetics Brands both local and international too. like Rimmel, MGM , Diana of london , Sweet touch , Christine, Golden Rose etc. The SA was very trained and helpful. I did not go there to buy anything then i changed my mind and these things came back with me :)

I was looking for a everyday blush and at rimmel counter i swatched different blushers on my cheeks and found this one the most natural looking blush.

I also swatched a few christine eyeshadows there . I was looking for a satin finish Khaki eyeshadow to wear on my eyes . Thats why i bought this :

It does not contain any sparkles or glitter in it . And when applied wet it lasted on my eyes for good 4 to 5 hours. its cheap too only 50 Rs.

I have used this eyeliner pencil before and i love how easily it glides on and stay put on eyes. My dazzmatazz eyepencil was almost finished now ..thats why i picked up this one ...i have not used it until now ..i will do a post on it .very soon

Just Gold Blusher Kit 5 in One : Review & Swatches

As i told in my earlier posts that i love to buy different brands products . I do not go just after high end brands or famous brands. Whenever i see a good product , i try to grab it as soon as possible . I have a Just Gold blusher kit , which i got as a present from my dear ones. Below you can see its packaging :

It comes with a white color rectangular box , with a wide mirror inside it and two low quality applicators ( which obviously i never used for applying blusher).

I did not try all the colors but i have tried 2 shades of this palette (second and third one from the left )and i like them alot and i am pretty much satisfied with this palette . It will attract to the girls who cannot afford to buy expensive single color blushers and use blushers occasionally , This blusher kit gives a choice of 5 different shades of blushers . They are surprisingly pigmented, easily blendable and have fine shimmer in it . You can mix two colors and create your own new color easily. Below you can see a blended swatch of these five blushers.

This palette is easily available at any local cosmetic shop for Rs. 400 Pkr ( price may vary )

In my opinion, it is a great choice if you are a beginner and want to try different blusher color or just playing with them . I will not recommend this for regular use.
