Medora Matte Lipsticks , Review & Swatches

Wednesday, April 2, 2014
This is one product that i wanted to own for ages. Everybody had it, everyone talks about it but i do not own it, isnt it enough to make you feel envious ? Finally i got my hands on two shades of Medora Matte lipsticks. Lets have a look.
Medora matte lipsticks in Fiesta and Full Fuchsia left to right
Packaging :
It comes in a cardboard packaging which is grey in color. The lipstick bullet is grey and golden, which looks decent if you keep cheap price tag in mind. I paid 120 Rs. for each. The ingredients list is not included on the cardboard packaging which is a minus point for me as i am really curious about ingredients.
Medora Matte lipstick Full Fuchsia and Fiesta-
I am glad that these have proper names along with numbers and matching tags on the bottom side on both cardboard and lipstick tubes. These tags are very similar to the actual shade, so it makes these very practical while organizing your makeup stash or when you need to find them in hurry.
 My Experience:
Medora of london is not a new brand. Its been there for ages but i have never got a chance to try them. After reading rave reviews on other blogs i decided to give them a try. I must say the color range is very bright and youthful. I picked two colors. First one is Fiesta , it is a warm rose pink which looks so good against my warm beige complexion. Its a great everyday kind of pink which just brightens up my face. The texture is matte and dry. I would recommend you to wear a lip balm if you have dry lips as it may makes them drier. They lasts for a good 3-4 hours leaving a pretty pink stain behind.
The Full fuchsia is more creamier than fiesta. It glides on smoothly and does not need a lip balm underneath. The color is very youthful and bright. Its a true fuchsia color. I do not have any shade similar to this, so i am very happy that i picked it up. If you like bright lippies , you would love it for sure.
The coverage of both lipsticks is opaque. Here are the swatches of both.

My recommendation:
In my opinion if you are on a budget and looking for an affordable alternative for pretty and fashionable lip colors, you can give them a try. I wish if they could mention ingredients too so i can use them for often without suspicious in mind.

Price & Availability:
Rs.120 each and available at most of the local markets , nationwide. Not available outside Pakistan.
