Monday, October 27, 2014
Hi to all my lovely readers, Hope that you all are doing great. Today I am sporting The Balm How Bout Them Apples? Lip & Cheek Palette. Its a replica palette and It was sent to me for my consideration by vogue-magic , an online retailer selling high quality replicas of high end brands. I do not own original palette so I cannot compare both of them. But I will be reviewing this palette on its own.

The Balm How Bout Them Apples? Lip & Cheeks Palette : Review & Swatches
Packaging:
It comes in a cardboard case which is exactly same as the palette. Palette has a beautiful illustration and looks exactly same as I saw original one on internet. Palette is quit big in size and contains six beautiful shades of lip and cheeks colors. It also has a mirror inside the palette which makes it super travel friendly.
It does not contain any applicator brush. Packaging is sturdy and does not feel cheap.

My Thoughts:
Palette contains six beautiful shades of lip and cheeks colors. Colors are fragrance free and also does not have any flavor or taste. It is a good news who loves their products to be fragrance free and tasteless. Colors have a gel like consistency and applies effortlessly with the help of a lip brush. For cheek application, I prefer to apply it with my fingers and then blend with fingers or blusher brush.  Palette is big in size and has a decent amount of product in it. All six shades are wearable and you can use it alone or mix and create your own unique shade. This palette is very versatile and travel friendly.

Cider is a soft nude which leans towards pink so it will not make you feel sick. It gives a soft flush of color to your lips and looks very natural on cheeks. It could be my everyday color for lips and cheeks and will compliment any smokey eye makeup look very well.

Cobbler is a true red color with a hint of orange in it. It looks very good against my warm complextion and gives it a glow. It is also very pigmented and only a dot is needed to apply as a blusher on cheeks.

Pie is my most favorite shade of this palette. It is a gorgeous coral shade and looks very flattering on my skin tone . I guess it will suit most of the complexions very well. This is my go to color these days and I get many compliments wearing it.

Crisp is the shade which disappoints me the most. It is more like a tinted clear gloss and does not have any pigmentation in it. Though, it looks very dark in the palette but does not transfer it to lips or cheeks.

Candy is also my favorite and the color pay off is very good. It is very pigmented and one coat is needed to cover your lips. It is a gorgeous candy pink color which looks very good as a lip or cheek color. It makes me look fresh and vibrant.

Caramel as the name suggests is a muted brown shade with a hint of red in it. I have not used it so far on my cheeks but it is pigmented and looks very good against my warm complexion.

All colors are long lasting and leaves a beautiful tint on my lips and cheeks when wear off.
Overall, I am very pleased and satisfied with this palette. Despite the fact that it is a replica product. But the quality is good and It is a good addition to my makeup stash. And I love how beautifully it is crafted and decorated with pretty illustrations.
